FORAGER’S REPORT – SEPTEMBER 22 AND 23, 2018

As the Spanish saying states: …. No hay peor sordo que el que no quiere oir, o peor ciego que el que no quiere ver. It roughly translates into: nothing worse than a person who doesn’t want to hear or see. In this instance it would be who sees but does not comprehend what he sees.

Went to Point Reyes yesterday and found a porcino (Boletus edulis) right in the path where dozens walked. And today went walking in Novato and found two Princes (Agaricus augustus) in a watered lawn. So, who cares if the porcino was small? And, how joyful can you get if the Princes are pristine?

Get out and look. There are few, but they are there.

Saludos,

Finola
