Mycodye, Fiber Art, and Felting Workshop with Odd Fox and Fern
Class Size Maximum: 20.
Cost: $40/person for MycoMarin Members, $50 for non-members
Join us for an afternoon of mushroom-focused fiber arts! During this 2-hour class you will get a taste of what it takes to dye wool using locally collected mushrooms or lichen through a detailed demonstration. Then create a custom needle felted mushroom pin using mycodyed wool. All materials will be provided. No experience required. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
About the teacher: Freya Gereke is a first-generation German American, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She shows her respect and love for nature through her art, and in 2012 introduced natural dyes into her yarn-making and weaving practice. In 2021 she founded Odd Fox and Fern to bring her passion to others in the form of fiber arts, watercolor paintings, and workshops.
